On November 16 the Inner City Legal Centre is hosting a transformative one-day symposium on LGBTQIA+ rights to mark Trans Awareness Week 2024.

Building connections between the trans community and allies, this event will unite attendees with a shared vision of equality for trans people. If you care about trans rights, then this event is for you!

There will be a panel discussion on living a full and empowered life with prominent trans community leaders, workshops on combating anti-trans speech delivered by the Trans Justice Project, workshops on change-making, a drop-in clinic providing advice on gender affirmation and ID/Legal documents, drop-in professional headshot’s and a quiet space with workshops supporting grounded bodies and minds.

A free lunch will be provided.

Please indicate in your RSVP for this event why you would like to attend. We anticipate this event will sell out and we hope to ensure that a diverse group are able to join us on the day.

This event is proudly sponsored by Woolhara Municipal Council, Pride Foundation Australia and Wayahead.

If you would like to attend one of our
online support groups please register.

IMPORTANT

This is not a treatment group. It is a place where people who are impacted by anxiety can give and receive support related to living with and managing their anxiety. It is facilitated by trained volunteers who have a diverse range of experiences but who are not qualified health professionals. As such, this group is not suitable for people with high levels of mental distress which may be associated with psychosis, severe depression or active post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). We recommend that you do not attend this group if you are experiencing high levels of distress as it is unlikely that it will able to meet your needs.

For more information, or to discuss whether this group is suitable for you, please call 02 9339 6013 or email supportgroups@wayahead.org.au
