Volunteer

Whether they are students on placements, members of our Board or support group facilitators – Volunteers are an integral to what we do. As we know, volunteering can be good for your mental health and our volunteers also get to contribute to programs that support better mental health for all.

Current positions for volunteers are advertised as they become available.

Student placements

Wayahead values learning and believe we have a responsibility to support the learning of people who are interested in working in the Mental Health and Promotion field through placement opportunities. When our internal resources allow we will consider student placements that are more than 3 months in length and for students who are advanced in their training, for example, year 2 or 3 of a degree program.

Volunteering is another option for students wanting to gain experience.

Wayahead is always accepting Expressions of Interest from potential volunteers. There may not be additional positions right now, but you are welcome to submit your EOI and we will keep it on file and contact you when suitable positions become available.

We strive for a community that embraces & maintains the best possible mental health & wellbeing for all people. We work towards a society free from prejudice & discrimination against people living with mental illness.
