OCD & Anxiety Disorders Awareness

Wayahead and Anxiety Recovery Centre (ARCVic) have put together a range of resources to support people with anxiety disorders, carers, family, friends and health professionals.

Anxiety Support Groups NSW

Wayahead runs monthly Anxiety and OCD Support Groups across NSW. A Support Group is a non-judgemental place for people with anxiety, and or their family and friends to meet. Our support groups are for people with anxiety disorders such as generalised anxiety disorder, social phobia, panic attacks / disorder, agoraphobia, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and/or specific phobias.

Anxiety Support Groups VIC

ARCVic run support groups for a range of different Anxiety Disorders as well as specific groups like Social Anxiety, Trichotillomania, Hoarding, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Support Groups provide an opportunity for people to help one another, understand their anxiety disorder and the recovery process.

Check out their Support Group information or the calendar to find a support group near you.

OCD Resources

We have produced this educational material to explain what Obsessive Compulsive Order (OCD) is. This may help for someone who has OCD or their carers to recognise the symptoms and seek help. It may also help to stop people using the label “OCD” incorrectly and inappropriately. You can download and print these posters.

Click on the poster you wish to download. The first poster is for A3 size and the next four are A4 size.

Fact sheets

Accessing accurate information about mental health can be challenging, whether for yourself or for someone close to you. We’ve compiled resources to assist you in determining whether you or someone you know might need mental health support, exploring treatment possibilities, enhancing overall wellbeing, and understanding how to navigate the mental health system effectively.
