Volunteer to run an Anxiety Support Group

Why volunteer?

Our support groups provide vital support to those dealing with anxiety. Our Volunteer Facilitators come from a wide variety of backgrounds including people with lived experience of anxiety, students, counsellors and people who want to give back to the community.

Wayahead provides training, resources and ongoing assistance to our Facilitators. Wayahead will help to advertise the group to your prospective attendees.

How do I become a group Facilitator?

To become a qualified Facilitator you will need to attend four separate Zoom sessions.

Each Zoom session runs for 2 hours. Each session outlines a different part of the Facilitator’s role.

How do I become a group Facilitator?

Supporting diverse community

Wayahead especially welcomes expressions of interest in running our support groups from First Nations, culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) and LGBTI Australians. You can find out more in our Diversity and Inclusion Strategy. We also provide translated resources for people from non-English speaking backgrounds.
